Here is an incredible behind the scenes look at camp also provided by the Flatwater Free Press.

“If you do it, I bet you’ll feel really proud of yourself,” a fellow camper yells. “Maybe you’ll inspire me to do it, because I’m a little scared, too.”

A quote from one little camper to another as he is trying to coax him into trying the zip line for the first time. The camper contemplated the zipline again but decided against it. As he climbed down the tower and reached the bottom, the crowd still cheered. Even though he didn’t jump, he tried something new….and at Operation Shine Camp, trying something new is always something to celebrate!

“I believe that the Operation Shine Camp run by the Kids & Dreams Foundation is important because it gets kids out doing things like zip-lining, boating, swimming, and arts & crafts that they otherwise would not. As a result, these kids show their parents, teachers and themselves that they are capable of doing great things and exceeding any perceived limitations and expectations.”
